A call has been made to all stakeholders in the educational sector to embrace technology in all aspects of teaching and learning in the school system. The call was made by the Commissioner of Education Niger State, Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu while giving her remarks at the occasion of CL4STEM OERs Module Launch and NQT Orientation held on 24-25th May 2022 in Minna by the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Nigeria. The Commissioner appreciated the Management of IBBUL for bringing the project to the State, stating that Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are the core foundation of modern civilisation and development, as such, it is a welcome initiative that would be accepted by the present government of Niger State.
Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin expressed gratitude for selecting the Ministry as one of the stakeholders, as she said this act of recognition will reflect in fast-tracking the adoption and adaptation of innovative technology for capacity building of newly qualified teachers towards strengthening secondary school science, technology, engineering and mathematics instruction and teachers’ pedagogical content.
She therefore recognised the effort of research team for the project, as well as the management of IBBU Lapai, promising the Ministry’s full support and commitment in deploying the modules to schools across the State in other to achieve t h e
objectives of the project.
